SF Sketchfest and Mezzanine are pleased to present part two of a 4-part Reggie Watts “Reggidency” in multiple venues across the Bay Area. For full details on the series, visit sfsketchfest.com. Tonight’s show is a focus on Reggie’s comedy music and he brings along very special guests and fellow musical comedians Garfunkel & Oates, also known as the hilarious Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci.
Reggie Watts, internationally-renowned vocalist/ beatboxer/ musician/ comedian/ improvisor, wows audiences with his unpredictable performances which are created on-the-spot using only his formidable voice and looping pedals. Blending and blurring the lines between comedy and music with his unique lyrical style, LA Weekly calls Reggie ”the most wildly inventive new talent of the past five years.” As a solo performer, Reggie was handpicked by Conan O’Brien to open nightly on Conan’s sold out North American “Prohibited From Being Funny on Television” tour. Reggie was crowned “Hot Comedian” by Rolling Stone, named SPIN Magazine’s “Best New Comedian” and “Best of CMJ” 2010, and a featured profile in GQ’s Man Of The Year issue 2010. Reggie released his debut comedy cd/dvd ‘Why $#!+ So Crazy?’ on Comedy Central Records in May 2010.
Garfunkel & Oates is an LA-based comedy/folk duo made up of actresses Riki Lindhome (Last House on the Left, Big Bang Theory, My Best Friend’s Girl, and the host of the Makin’ It with Riki Lindhome Podcast on the Nerdist network) and Kate Micucci (Raising Hope, Scrubs, 'Til Death). They've appeared on The Tonight Show four times, Last Call with Carson Daly, KTLA and CNN and have millions of hits on You Tube and Funny or Die. They perform at the Upright Citizens Brigade and Largo in LA and are currently touring the US and Canada. They’ve released two albums – All Over Your Face and Music Songs, both avail on iTunes.

A richly diverse gathering space, Mezzanine showcases live and electronic music from all genres – rock, dance, hip hop, soul, jazz, salsa, world beat – as well as multimedia art events, fashion shows and video/film installations. The multi-use venue boasts state-of-the-art lighting technologies with custom-built sound systems for both live and electronic music. The club caters to performances of all types; from hot shows with the newest buzz bands to intimate engagements with the world’s biggest artists.
